Miflora BT sensor - not working

Hi there,

I tried to get Miflora BT sensor to work, but Mycodo does not connect to the sensor...

2021-02-27 16:27:09,343 - ERROR - mycodo.controllers.controller_input_f3b4c777 - StopIteration raised 3 times. Possibly could not read input. Ensure it's connected properly and detected.

However using https://github.com/basnijholt/miflora manually on the same pi with the same settings, the demo.py works perfectly.

git clone https://github.com/open-homeautomation/miflora.git
cd miflora
./demo.py poll C4:7C:8D:::

I also had to install btlewrap to make the demo script work.

pip3 install btlewrap

Any idea how to work around this?

Best regards,

Chris

Hi, Chris. If you're okay with doing something experimental, can you upgrade to master and see what the output in the log is? The master branch is currently in a mostly-working, semi-tested state at the moment, so this should only be done for testing, not running a production system.

Hi Kyle,

before i upgraded to the master branch, i checked the dependencies log and i found indeed some problems:

miflora 0.7.1 requires btlewrap==0.0.10, but you have btlewrap 0.1.0 which is incompatible.

So i installed the 0.0.10 version via the console, and while it was not immediately working, it now started to work after upgrading to the master branch.

So I'm not really sure if I was just too impatient, or if it was the upgrade now...

I think its best to start again with a clean install to do some further investigation... I'll keep you updated!

Thanks for investigating and reviewing your logs. Indeed there can be issues with python package versions that are sometimes difficult to resolve, especially if you have multiple different things installed that require different versions of a particular package.
